Cirie and TruGreen, how I can’t stand thee

March 7th, 2008 Ben 1 comment

I’ll start off with TruGreen. I utterly dislike this company. At this point I tru-ly believe they are doing things simply to piss me off. It all started last year. After me bitching them out, they still had the nerve to show up at my house and spray some shit then roll out. No samples were taken, no “Mr. Turner we’re sorry for all the confusion here’s a free book of stamps on us.” They guy didn’t come to apologize for anything, didn’t leave a card, nothing.

Over the next year I would still continue to get cards and calls from them. Every time I got a call I would get more and more belligerent with them. I’ve spoken to managers and I’ve told off quite a few people. Despite all of this and they keep calling, every time it’s like the time before never happened.

Suckrie is more like it

Well yesterday I get a letter in the mail saying how they want my service back and all this mess. It’s the typical mass letter they send out. Not personalized or anything, just a standard mailer. Well, I did them a favor. I mailed it back to them. Only I stuffed the envelope with grass and I ripped off the pre-checked check box that said yes I want them to come out to my house. So in the next day or so, someone at a distribution center will get an envelope full of grass. Maybe then they’ll see that the grass they so desperately want to treat is just fine. So again, TruGreen can kiss my ass!

Speaking of asses, I can’t stand Cirie from Survivor. Something about her just rubs me the wrong way. I understand that she’s playing a smart guy and that she’ll do ANYTHING to make sure that Cirie stays in the game, but there’s something that just irks me. Several seemingly smart plans have been presented to her which she kinda agreed to, then she’s all like “oh, but why don’t we vote off such and such.” And then everyone’s like “OMG you are so brilliant! Let’s vote with you!” It’s like when they talk to her, they forget any ideas they had or alliances they were in and do what ever it is she wants. She is one of the most manipulative people in the game. No one can see that she’s pretty much running the show. I guess it’s her attitude and the fact that she’s only in it for herself. She’d watch her tribe catch on fire and if it was a matter of holding a bucket of water to get immunity or save someone from dying, she’d be holding the idol in no time. I hope they vote her off soon, but sure as shit, she’ll be sittin’ there at then end with her stupid grin being like “I dunno Jeff, I just did what I had to do to stay in the game, I guess I just played really well, thanks for the mill!”

Longest week ever…again

February 29th, 2008 Ben No comments

This has been one of those weeks that just won’t end. I feel like it’s lasted twice as long as normal. I’m so ready for this weekend and I plan on chillaxin’ to the maxXxtremeTM. The one shining star of this week has been the influx of good videos online. So before I get to my thoughts on TV this week and my general rants about work I’ll provide with some of my new favorite youtubes:

Nothing important, general update, eh

I haven’t really been’a postin’ lately and I attribute that mainly to work. It’s been hectic around here, but things are starting to level out. I probably have another week or so before things truly calm down. We’re about to start the upgrade to our new Content Management System and that’s going to be a beast, but we’ll survive.

There’s no fate but what we make ourselves.

Well, actually the fate is kinda on the wall for the Terminator series. I can see it now. As the series progresses John will become more and more enthralled with the “machines.” He will begin to sketch, plan, plot, devise, execute his plan. What is his plan? He is creating a machine. He is building a robot. The purpose of which is either to combat the machines of his present or simply a machine so he can better understand them. In the end his creation will turn on him and become Skynet. There are simply too many things that point to this.

  • Why are the machines still there even after John continually defeats them?
  • He’s really good with computers and is getting better.
  • He’s got one with him that knows how to build them.
  • He’s got some of the metal stuff now.
  • He’s all shakey and pencil holdly at the end of the most recent episode.
  • It’s an easy way to write the new franchise movie they are planning.

So that’s my prediction. Oh, and in the future, John will meet a woman who he falls in love with or has some sort of vested interest in. Something will happen to her and he will create a robot that looks/acts/talks/mimics the woman he was attached to. He will then send her back to help protect the past (current present) John. I mean, that’s just too easy.

That’s all I have. I’ve been up for like 20 hours now, I think it’s bed time.
