10lbs that is. Whoo hoo! 15lbs from my lowest adult weight (currently 224). I looks as if all the running and eating right has started to pay off. I feel great and my clothes are finally fitting like I wanted them to. Yay for losing things you never wanted to start with. The next 15lbs will be tough, but I can do it. I have a plan.
…now where did I put that bacon, sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast burrito.

Country Breakfast Burrito!

OMG! I finally broke a 10 minute mile! That’s HUGE for me. I don’t think I’ve ever been able to do that. Like ever. This is literally the first time (at least that I have any memory of) that I’ve been able to run a mile in under 10 minutes. And to think I ran 2 more mile after that.
Time to celebrate!
This past weekend was rather chill. Not a whole lot went down. Friday was mainly just relaxing at the computer playing some WarCraft with Lewis. It was good to not really have to worry about things and get back to just doing nothing. Saturday I got up, did some cleaning and headed off on a mission to make a personal best 10k time. A goal which I demolished by a full 2 minutes! In running time that’s pretty danged good. I’d like to get it down to around 1hr. That’ll take some doing, but shouldn’t be impossible.

Candy Corn Cupcake sans frosting
The rest of saturday was spent resting up from the run and baking cup cakes. They turned out pretty damn good. I made several different batches. The ones seen here i placed the candy corn on top then baked them. This melted the candy corn down and created somewhat of a candy ’shell’ inside the cupcakes. This also allowed for more frosting since I could cram it into the crevices. For another batch, I folded the candy corn into the frosting. This worked out pretty good and put the flavor throughout the whole thing.
For the frosting, I made a standard butter-cream frosting, melted some candy corn flavored Hershey Kisses in a double boiler, then folded that into the frosting. I have to say it was one of the better frostings I’ve had. It was creamy and had a candy corn flavor. Quite tasty actually. Check my photos page or the Food Stuffs page for a pic of the other variety. At the party they were a hit! So I’ll be making these again, however up next is either a Pecan Pie cupcake or something with pumpkin.
The party at Kim and Chris’ was pretty fun. Standard party for the most part. There was drinking, Rock Banding, food, people being crazy, then passing out. For some reason boxing gloves were brought and some sparing took place. As a future reminder do not spare or anything of the sort with glasses on. This will result in them breaking again. I made it out ok, though I got punched in the face, however Neal suffered a blackish eye. More of a scratch he says, but who knows. So based on this pic it would appear that I have a pretty beefy arm. Not sure what’s up with that, but I’ll take it.
After the sparing and Rock Banding people started heading home. I decided I would just hang there since I really didn’t have a NEED to be back home or anything to get up the next day for.
Sunday was spent just kinda hanging around the hosue. I did some more cleaning, paid some bills, debated on making some chili, didn’t actually make any chili, watched some tv then went to bed. All-in-all, not to shabby of a weekend. Here’s a quick rundown: cupcakes baked: 36, punches in the face: 1 (maybe 2), shots taken: X (10 or ?, you decided), achievements earned in WarCraft: countless, pumpkins carved: 0, faces seen and rocked: a million. Halloween is this week and I still have mixed feelings about that day. I hope all goes well.

Just like that! Man I feel pretty fan-freakin-tastic right now…except for being famished. I’m gonna go work on that. I need to replenish some of those 1100 calories I just burned.

I’m sticking to my word and going to cut grass this morning, despite the fact that my body hates me right now. Here’s how the story goes.
I woke up yesterday, made some breakfast and then started working. I worked from like 6am until about 5pm. I was at home the whole time, but I was working like crazy. My boss got pissed at somethings and this and that and it was generally a stress filled day. Which was ok, because I got to sit in my cozy clothes, with the windows open, rocking out to my music and enjoying the company of Jojo.
Once 5is rolled around I decided that it would be a good idea to go for a run. I got all geared up, did my stretches, and headed out.
The run would have been better had I actually eaten a substantial amout of food durning the day and had plenty of water. This wasn’t the case and my body didn’t like me. The plan was to make some pizza, but that didn’t really pan out. Instead I went to Johnny’s Pizza and got the b’sketti. It’s as amazing as it ever was.
There I was having my dinner, watching House, and enjoying my fall beers. At some point I kinda fell asleep and spilled one all over me. I quickly recovered and went back to drinking. At one point, I got too tired down stairs and came up to fart around on the computer and lay down.
Well, I was also on the phone at this point talking to a friend. We talked for a good several hours and evetually it was 3am-ish. So I went to bed knowing that I would have to get up in like 15 mins to go cut grass, and here I am.
My body isn’t going to feel well today, but that was something I put on me, and I wouldn’t change a thing. The conversation I had last night was so worth more than a bit of discomfort today. My mind is kind of shutting down now, so I’m going to get up and go finish cleaning before heading out.

Well, my Saturday didn’t really pan out like I had planned. As it turns out I wasn’t needed for the grass cutting thing afterall. Oh well, I reckon that’s the price I pay for selling the house. It all worked out for the best anyway. Someone wanted to see the house and I used the time I had to make it even more clean. I also took some pictures and posted them on the photos page.

Halloween USA - Hiram, GA
After cleaning up, I head out to Target to pick up some essentials (video games, printers, Halloween candy, toothpicks, butter, and 2 cases of Arbor Mist). Wait…it was more like cat food and something to fix for lunch. Speaking of Halloween candy Hiram now has it’s very own Halloween store. I guess the Goody’s that was there just couldn’t cut it. Too bad that I won’t be able to load up on stuff this year. Seeing as the house is STILL on the market I won’t be able to decorate like I have in years past. That totally sucks, but it’s the price I pay I reckon.
After I got home, I watched some TV, had some lunch, and decided to go for a bike ride. It’s been for ever since I’ve been riding, but figured it was long over due. So I kicked the tires, lit the fires and headed out. Managed to go about 16 miles (roughly 8 there and 8 back), before my ass was too sore to continue. I even manage to snap a pic to prove that I made it out that far.

Silver Comet - Mile 16.99
I really did enjoy being out, just riding around not worrying about stuff. I’ll probably head back out again this week. I think I need to take my bike in to have it worked on. That and I want to get the odometer to work so I can track this mug.
Saturday night my original plans didn’t really pan out. I was supposed to be going to dinner, but they got sick and I had to make alt plans. No worries, as luck would have it Jon was at Taco Mac downtown watching the games. I headed down that way and proceed to have a blast with seemingly hundreds of people that were crammed into that place. This is the first year I’ve really watched football to this capacity, and I have to say that I’m really enjoying it. Two weeks now I’ve watched multiple games on Saturday. For all you nay-sayers, I can follow a game and I know what’s going on. As far as a favorite team…I kinda go with who ever I’m with. Jon happens to support USC to the maxXxtreme so I was pulling for them. Luckily they demolished Ohio State. Go Trojans!
After the games, we headed over to The Vortex for some more drinking, grilled cheese with bacon sandwiches, and more football. Jon faded quick (he had been drinking for 12+ hours straight), so we headed up to his place where he proceeded to talk to one of my friends on the phone. It was quite entertaining. She was quite surprised at some of the things Jon had to say. Shortly there after, he passed out and I took up refuge on the love seat. I was going to take the couch, but he was all kinds of sprawled out, so that wasn’t going to happen. I left his bed open incase he got up and tried to get in there. This too didn’t happen. Instead the bed was open and he was on the couch and I was on the most uncomfortable love seat ever crafted. Sunday morning my neck hurt like a mutha, but it was still worth it to get out.

Bleu cheese bacon southwest burger
For the most part Sunday was pretty chillax. I watched some TV, had some pink taco’s, watched some more TV, and generally didn’t do a whole lot. I was going to meet up with Jon at Varners (formally Uncle Bud’s Catfish House), but seeing as me and every gas station for like 10 miles was out of gas, I decided to make some food stuffs at home. Burgers were on the menu, and I didn’t dissapoint. This damn things was mighty tasty. Too bad no one was there to enjoy it with me.
That was pretty much it. Not too much going on, just kinda fartin’ around and haning out with friends. I have a new appreciation for cozy bike seats and late night grilled cheeses.
This week is shaping up to be pretty awesome. Just gotta get through today.

To put it in the simplest of terms things aren’t great, hell things aren’t good. I’m still hanging in there and every day I wake up. I’ll keep moving forward despite how difficult of a process that is. I can’t say thank you enough to those that have been there when things have gotten especially bad. This is not a plea for sympathy or a cry for attention or anything, it’s just me putting my self out there. I owe it to who ever reads this to at least provide a glimpse of where I’m at. I’m not one to deal with things internally; I have to put it out there. Whether it be via this blog, a journal, opening up to a friend, or other, this is how I deal with my life.
So that’s that.
On a lighter note I figure I’ll just run down a few other things:
- The house is in near immaculate shape now that it is half empty and clean to the max
- I’m having an open house on Sunday and am praying that someone will put an offer down
- I’d still like to have people over at some point for a general hang out/drinking/fun having time
- Tropic Thunder was the shit!
- 2 months prior to and my birthday plans are already in effect
- Comcast is pretty much a pain in the ass, but still cheaper than DTV + AT&T
- Work is pretty uneventful and one of the most unrewarding things ever
- I have a ton of video’s planned for Friday
- This past weekend I did my first run in 50 days, 2.4 miles in the bank
- Culinary school is too damn expensive for me to start until I sell my house
- I’m starting King Nacho back up, if anyone has an event that needs food, let me know
- I’m still tweaking the site, including the photos page
That’s about it really. It’s amazing how much better you feel after watching some YouTube and writing some things out. Things aren’t all kittens and snowflakes, but at least it’s not a total pile of ass.
Dear Life,
I’m comin’ for you.Ben

So yesterday I “worked” from home. I got a good deal of stuff done and when I was done with work I was like “now what?” I went and played some GTA4 for a bit. I did like 3 dailies in WoW and the I just kinda sat there. I was like…is this all I have to offer the world? Is this what my “daily” is? By the time today rolled around I felt like yesterday was a complete and total waste of time.
Here’s a pic to help illustrate my point:

What am I hoping to accomplish by doing the same thing every day? It’s certainly not getting me more fit, more excited about anything, and if anything it’s turning my life into a hum-drum routine with nothing to offer or receive. I’m to the point where I’m ready for something new.
I can’t really just pack up and change my job. There’s to much riding on the constant pay check. I can’t force the house to sell and until then we’ll just have to live in boring ol’ Powder Springs. I reckon the only things I can really just “do” are getting outside and exercising or just going places on the weekend. I need to hang out with my friends and just interact with society. I really don’t care if it’s hot out side, it’s not like the weather is going to kill me. When I get the urge to play WoW or do nothing, I’ll do what I know I should do…go for a run, take Chester for a walk, or work in the yard.
People keep telling me I need to relax and do nothing and just chill out or what ever…but that’s not me. I’m not that chill guy that can just sit there and do nothing. I HATE more than anything when I go a whole day without accomplishing something. It can be a small accomplishment like taking the dog for a walk or jumping on the Wii Fit for 30 minutes. Anything that falls in the “daily routine” category doesn’t count for me. I need to do something that I don’t do everyday. If I took Chester for a walk everyday, then I’d need to find something else in addition to that. My mind and chemestry and build and soul doesn’t like being relaxed…that stresses me out. I enjoy going and going and going. I’ll break quicker if I just sit there and do nothing than if I’m constantly going. I’m like Jason Statham from Crank.
So there it is. I’m going to do everything in my power to start doing something. If anyone wants to join me, you’re more than welcome to. I’ve lost the sparkle in my life, and I’ll be damned if I don’t get it back.
