Hell’s Line
As some of you are aware yesterday was the open casting call for Hell’s Kitchen. It didn’t take much for me to decide to go. I mean, this was a once in a lifetime chance. I would be an idiot to pass it up. So after getting the house clean for a potential buyer I headed out to wait in what can only be deemed as Hell’s Line.
I got there around noon thinking that if it got started at 10, and I get there at 12, I should be out of there by 4. No biggie right? Well that certainly was not the case. 8 hours later, I got to sit for 5 minutes with a casting director. The interview went well. He was straight and to the point.
While waiting in line I met several really cool people. Guys that were chef’s and had a lot of cool stories. It was really good to just kinda get a sense of their day-to-day lives. One of these days that might be me. There were a lot of people that had no business being in that line, but they went for it, so who amd I to judge.
All-in-all it was a good experience. I’ve got some new contacts in the industry, I got my name and picture on a list somewhere for Hell’s Kitchen (there’s a chance that Gordon Ramsey will actually see my picture which is pretty exciting). Most importantly, I went for it. In a few days time I’ll know something one way or another.
I have to thank Scott for sending me the info, with out that, it would’ve been just another boring Friday.
